Team DASSAULT is a group of individuals from the Dassault Systemes community (employees, customers, resellers, partners, family, and friends) who join together to help raise money supporting cancer research and treatment. We welcome new members who have a connection to the Dassault Systemes community or current team members. To be fair, we cannot accept new members without such a connection.

Signing up for Team DASSAULT does not imply any commitment, but simply puts you on our mailing list so we can contact you with more information so you can decide whether or not to sign up when the time comes.

  • The PMC 2008 is August 2-3, 2008.

  • Rider registration for the PMC will begin in January 2008 (Jan. 2nd for Heavy Hitters, Jan. 8th for Alumni, and Jan. 15th for new riders). The most popular routes fill up very quickly so if you wish to ride, you should register as soon after registration opens as possible.

  • Team DASSAULT helps out with logistics for our riders for various routes. Most riders on Team DASSAULT will ride the 2 day, 192 mile, Sturbridge to Provincetown route (the most popular route in the PMC) but there are other routes available as follows:
Days Route Mileage Fundraising
Minimum
2 Sturbridge to Provincetown 192 $4000
2 Wellesley to Provincetown 163 $4000
2 Sturbridge to Wellesley 180 $3400
2 Wellesley to Wellesley 153 $3400
1 Sturbridge to Bourne (Saturday) 111 $3000
1 Wellesley to Bourne (Saturday) 84 $3000
1 Wellesley to Wellesley (Sunday) 47 $1300
1 **Bourne to Wellesley (Sunday) 68 $1300

** This route is only available to individuals who volunteer for the PMC on Saturday

  • Each ride route has a required minimum PMC fundraising amount as shown in the table above. Since this is a charity event to support cancer research and treatment, the goal is to maximize the amount of money raised, so you should aim to raise your own PMC minimum yourself. Team DASSAULT does do a lot of team fundraising which is distributed amongst the team riders.  This years plan for distribution of the team raised money is as follows:
    • First Level Distribution: Riders in this category must raise a minimum of $1000 if riding two days or $750 if riding one day. We will strive to cover the remainder of your PMC minimum with team raised funds. Individuals who are eligible for this level of distribution are:
      • All Dassault Systemes Employees
      • Any non-Dassault employee who solicits at least one team sponsor of at least Silver level ($1500) or higher
    • Second Level Distribution - The remaining team funds available after the first level distribution has been made will be split evenly amongst the rest of the riders (with perhaps some small adjustments to help some individuals get to Heavy Hitter if they are very close). Based on past years fundraising, we expect this distribution to be somewhere around $1000 per rider.

NOTE: (the fine print) We cannot really guarantee ANY distribution so you should really aim to raise the minimum yourself. When you sign up for the PMC, you are personally taking the responsibility of raising your PMC minimum. We have a 6 year track record of successfully raising and distributing funds to our team riders, but can never guarantee what will happen in a given year. The distribution levels given above are the best case scenario and should be taken as a guide for what we hope to distribute. However, the amounts can vary based on our team fundraising success, change in team size, etc. You should not "bank" on getting a team distribution and should really set a goal of raising at least your PMC minimum yourself. The more help we get with corporate fundraising, suggested sponsors, etc. the better our chances of achieving these distribution levels.

  • There is a $170 registration fee for all ride routes. The rider is responsible for this registration fee.

  • The first day of the ride starts early in the morning on Saturday, so you need to stay in the area near your chosen start. Team DASSAULT has a block of hotel rooms reserved at the Publick House near the Sturbridge start for team riders. Riders are responsible for the expense of their individual room ($121/room). Riders can share rooms to reduce costs. Depending on interest, we will look into booking a block of rooms in Wellesley for riders starting there.

  • We have team jerseys made up every year and each team rider usually purchases and wears the jerseys during the ride so we appear as a team. The cost of the jerseys are usually $55-$65. We will also likely have team socks available (perhaps around $5 a pair) and shorts available (around $50 a pair). More information will be sent regarding gear in the springtime.

  • The ride is very fun and we have great team activities before and after the ride. There are free team dinners on the Friday night before the ride in Sturbridge and Wellesley. We usually have a gathering at the end of the ride as well.
